The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) aims to improve health and safety levels in the workplace and address related risks. Internal auditing is a fundamental factor in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the OHSMS. This course helps participants acquire the essential skills to evaluate the system according to ISO 45001 and write a report on the extent to which the current system conforms to the international standard.

General Objective of the Training Program

The OHSMS Internal Auditing course provides participants with key skills and best practices, both theoretically and practically, to develop work activities such as managing, implementing, maintaining, and improving occupational health and safety systems. Accordingly, this training program is delivered in accordance with the latest relevant international practices and methodologies.

Detailed Training Program Objectives

- To understand and analyze the objective and structure of ISO 45001:2018

- To understand the interrelationships between the clauses of ISO 45001:2018

- To know and describe the responsibilities of the internal auditor and the role of internal auditing in maintaining and ensuring the effectiveness of the occupational health and safety management system

- To learn auditing skills, including how to interact with those being audited, as well as how to research and connect information, and then find objective evidence to support the findings.

- To plan, conduct, and write an audit report as an essential part of the quality management system, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 19011.

- To use different methods to strengthen the internal audit process.

- To practice internal auditing in a safe environment (during the training course) before commencing actual audits, allowing participants to learn best practices and attempt to implement them.

- To understand the importance of internal audits for the organizations where participants work, and the benefits they offer.

- To learn how to write non-conformity reports and the importance of clear elements in a non-conformity report to facilitate appropriate corrective action.
